Role Description

As a Data Sourcing Specialist at Best Denim, you will play a pivotal role in acquiring, evaluating, and managing the data sources essential to our business operations and strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for identifying and procuring relevant datasets from a variety of internal and external sources, ensuring their quality, reliability, and legality. Your expertise in data sourcing and acquisition will be critical in empowering our team to derive actionable insights and make informed decisions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, identify, and evaluate potential data sources relevant to our business needs and objectives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with data providers, vendors, and partners to secure access to valuable datasets.
  • Negotiate data access agreements, contracts, and licensing terms to ensure compliance and confidentiality.
  • Develop and implement data acquisition strategies and processes to streamline data sourcing efforts and maximize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and priorities, and align sourcing activities accordingly.
  • Conduct due diligence assessments to evaluate the quality, integrity, and relevance of acquired datasets.
  • Monitor data usage and compliance with data usage policies, regulations, and industry standards.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in data sourcing, acquisition, or procurement, preferably in a similar industry or domain.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations, intellectual property rights, and data governance principles.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools, such as SQL, Python, or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience with data integration platforms, APIs, and database management systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
