Environmental Engineer

Eligibility Criteria: B.Tech/ M.Tech/ B. Sc/ M. Sc. in Engineering/Science (preferably in Environment/ Chemical/ Chemistry)

Experience: 3+ years of experience in managing environment projects, regulatory clearances and compliances, and overall Environment Management including:

• Assist in establishing a comprehensive environmental management system.
• Assist in obtaining Environmental Clearance and Forest Clearance for upcoming projects and statutory compliance.
• Initiate & coordinate for special studies on environmental issues (Environment Impact Assessment, Carrying Capacity or Source Apportionment Studies) and develop partnership with academic institution /experts.
• Provide strategic inputs and close liaison with the team managing the environmental management system.
• Assist the team in organizing networking, representing and making presentations as required with the regulatory bodies and environmental experts including academic institutions and other external stakeholders- SPCB, CPCB, State Governments, MOEFCC.
• Apprise higher management regarding relevant environmental issues and development in legislations and compliance.
• Ensuring compliance with various Environmental Rules & Regulations.
• Preparation and up-keep of documents and records of the company pertaining to Environmental compliance (Air, Water, Hazardous waste and other applicable compliances).
• Assist in implementation of environment protection projects in line with the strategies and Growth plan.
• Conversant with the process for Environment clearance, forest clearance
• Well versed and up to date with various acts for environment and forest like Forest Conservation Act 1980, Environment Protection Act and rules, 1986
• Well versed with local laws and rules related to Forest, Environment clearance, SPCB/CPCB etc.
• Understanding of various govt and regulatory bodies involved in environment management and their functions
• Mindset to solve complex problems
• Strong communication skills and ability to handle multiple stakeholders
• Ability to deliver multiple work streams
• Work closely with HODs on daily basis for various correspondences with Government bodies for smooth operation of project.
• Support for data collection, information and preparation of sheet (Excel, word, PPT etc.) on day-today basis & put in front of Senior Management or different organizational bodies for update regarding current status of project.
