SAP SD/Retail Consultant

About the Role :We are looking for an experienced SAP SD - Retail Consultant with hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA implementation and support within the retail industry. The ideal candidate will lead and manage Sales & Distribution (SD) module processes, ensuring seamless integration with MM, FI, and POS systems while aligning with retail-specific business requirements.This is a senior-level position that requires a strong functional understanding of retail business operations, pricing, billing, and store sales processes, coupled with solid technical proficiency in SAP S/4HANA environments.Key Responsibilities :- Lead and manage the end-to-end SAP SD module implementation in a retail environment using SAP S/4HANA.- Conduct requirement gathering workshops with business stakeholders to understand retail-specific sales and distribution processes.- Translate business needs into functional specifications and technical design documents.- Configure key SD components, including :Sales Order Processing (VA01, VA02, VA03)Pricing Procedures (V/08, VK11, VK12)Billing and Invoicing (VF01, VF02)Delivery and Shipment (VL01N, VL02N)Returns Management and Credit/Debit Memo Processing- Support integration with SAP MM, FI/CO, Retail, and POS systems to ensure accurate data flow and financial postings.- Participate in data migration, cutover activities, and post-go-live stabilization.- Provide L2/L3 functional support for SAP SD in production environments.- Troubleshoot and resolve pricing, billing, order management, and interface issues.- Work closely with the technical (ABAP/HANA) and integration (PI/PO, CPI) teams to debug and enhance SD functionality.- Monitor and optimize system performance in a high-volume retail setting.- Collaborate with MM (Material Management), FI/CO (Financials and Controlling), and EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) teams to ensure smooth end-to-end processes.- Integrate SAP SD with POS systems (e.g., GK POS, NCR, SAP CAR, or custom POS).- Manage intercompany sales, third-party order processing, and cross-company billing scenarios.- Support Omnichannel and E-commerce integrations for order fulfillment and pricing.- Prepare comprehensive functional documentation, test cases, and user manuals.- Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and end-user training sessions.- Ensure compliance with internal standards, audit requirements, and data governance policies.- Act as a functional lead for SD module activities within the retail implementation program.- Manage junior consultants, assign tasks, and review deliverables.- Collaborate with project managers, solution architects, and business stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved on time.- Support Agile or Waterfall project methodologies as per business requirements.Technical Skills & Tools : - SAP Functional Skills- SAP S/4HANA SD Module Expertise - Order to Cash (OTC)- Pricing Procedures & Conditions- Billing & Invoicing- Intercompany and Third-party Sales- Credit Management (FSCM-CR)- Availability Check (ATP) and Delivery Scheduling- Returns & Claims Processing- Customer Master, Material Master, Partner Determination- SAP MM, FI/CO, Retail, POS, and EWM modules- SAP CAR (Customer Activity Repository) and OAA (Omnichannel Article Availability)- IDocs, ALE, RFC, BAPI, and Web Services integrations- Article Master & Site Master- Promotions, Markdown, and Store Pricing- Store Operations IntegrationTechnical / Platform Knowledge : - SAP S/4HANA Data Model and Fiori Applications (Sales Order, Billing, etc.)- HANA Studio / Eclipse for functional debugging- Basic understanding of ABAP enhancements, User Exits, BAdIs, and Custom Reports.- Familiarity with SAP Cloud Integration (CPI) and SAP PI/PO middleware.- Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) for change management and transport tracking (ref:hirist.tech)
