As we expand our national footprint, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts across India.
Job Summary:
The National Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing national sales strategies, building and managing a nationwide sales team, and driving significant revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical machinery market in India, a proven track record of achieving national sales targets, and the ability to foster strong relationships with key clients and distributors across the country. The ideal candidate will also collaborate closely with marketing and other departments to ensure cohesive national brand presence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- National Sales Strategy & Execution:Develop and implement comprehensive national sales strategies to achieve ambitious revenue targets and expand market share across India.
- Identify and penetrate new markets and customer segments within the country.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis and competitor intelligence to identify national trends and opportunities.
- Develop and manage national sales forecasts and budgets.
- National Sales Team Leadership:Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing national sales team, including regional sales managers and sales representatives.
- Establish clear sales targets, performance metrics, and reporting mechanisms for the national sales team.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance evaluation to sales team members across all regions.
- Travel extensively across the country to support the sales team and meet with key clients.
- Key Account Management & Distributor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key national clients, distributors, and industry partners.
- Negotiate and manage national contracts and agreements.
- Oversee the FAT process with key national clients.
- Marketing Collaboration & Brand Management: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute national marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all regions.
- Represent the company at national industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present detailed national sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to senior management.
- Analyze national sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate sales records and customer information in CRM systems.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive sales experience in the pharmaceutical machinery industry, with a focus on national market development.
- Proven experience within the Pharma machine Manufacturing domain is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of our clientele sector, including pharmaceutical companies, contract manufacturers, and research institutions.
- Proven track record of exceeding national sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical manufacturing landscape in India.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience managing remote teams.
- Ability to travel extensively across India.
