DevOps Engineer High-Performance Trading Systems

Location : Hyderabad

Experience Required : 4-8 years

About the Role :

Were looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to streamline development and deployment workflows for mission-critical, high-performance trading applications. This role combines DevOps and SRE principles to ensure maximum reliability, performance, and security while enabling rapid and seamless software delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Build and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) with automated testing, code quality, and secure deployments.

2. Manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, Ansible) for reproducible and scalable cloud environments.

3. Ensure 99.999% uptime during market hours through robust monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, DataDog) and proactive issue detection.

4. Implement and optimize Kubernetes clusters for containerized trading apps with zero-downtime deployments.

5. Drive incident management with automation, runbooks, and rapid on-call response practices.

6. Enforce DevSecOps practices including secrets management (Vault, Key Vault), vulnerability scanning, and compliance automation.

7. Optimize cloud costs with rightsizing, reserved/spot instances, and auto-scaling policies.

8. Improve developer experience with self-service tools for deployments, monitoring, and observability.

Technical Requirements :

1. Strong expertise in AWS / Azure / GCP cloud platforms.

2. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Istio/Linkerd.

3. Proficiency with CI/CD automation (Jenkins, GitOps, ArgoCD/Flux).

4. Solid background in infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi).

5. Advanced skills in monitoring & observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog, New Relic, ELK, OpenTelemetry).

6. Strong scripting/programming in Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell.

7. Database optimization experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis.

Qualifications :

1. 4-8 years of DevOps / SRE / Platform Engineering experience, with 3+ years in financial services or trading systems preferred.

2. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Top Tier institutes preferred).

3. Proven track record in building high-availability, low-latency systems supporting millions of transactions.

4. Strong collaboration skills with experience in Agile environments and on-call rotations.

Performance Expectations :

1. Multiple daily deployments with 98%+ success rate.

2. Maintain 99.999% uptime for core trading systems during market hours.

3. MTTR < 2 minutes for critical incidents.

4. Reduce manual operational work by 90% through automation and self-healing systems.
