Position OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) to lead global inorganic growth initiatives for our IT Services and Staffing organization. This senior leadership role will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing global acquisition and investment opportunities aligned with the company’s growth strategy across India, North America, Europe, and other emerging regions.The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the IT services and staffing industry, a proven track record of leading cross-border M&A transactions, and deep expertise in valuation, due diligence, deal structuring, and stakeholder management.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic M&A Leadership- Develop and execute the company’s global M&A strategy in alignment with corporate objectives and growth targets. - Identify and assess potential acquisition, merger, joint venture, or strategic investment opportunities across target geographies and service lines. - Establish and maintain a robust M&A pipeline by proactively engaging with investment bankers, advisors, consulting firms, and industry networks.Deal Origination & Evaluation- Conduct industry and company research to identify strategic fits based on service capabilities, geography, technology alignment, or customer base. - Evaluate opportunities using financial modeling, valuation techniques, and scenario analysis to assess potential synergies and ROI. - Prepare detailed business cases, investment memos, and board presentations supporting proposed transactions.Due Diligence & Deal Execution- Lead and coordinate cross-functional due diligence efforts (financial, tax, legal, HR, technology, and operational). - Negotiate key transaction terms, including pricing, structure, earn-outs, and integration parameters. - Work closely with external advisors (investment banks, legal counsel, tax consultants) to ensure smooth transaction execution.Integration & Post-Merger Alignment- Partner with executive leadership, finance, HR, and operations teams to drive integration planning and synergy realization. - Establish post-acquisition metrics and governance to track performance and ROI against the investment thesis.Stakeholder & Relationship Management- Engage directly with target company leadership, investors, board members, and key advisors to ensure alignment and deal success. - Collaborate with internal business leaders to define strategic M&A priorities and communicate deal progress transparently.Required Skills & ExperienceProfessional Experience- 12+ years of progressive experience in M&A, corporate development, or investment banking, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role within the IT services or staffing industry. - Proven experience in executing global mid-market M&A transactions across India, the U.S., EU, and APAC regions. - Strong knowledge of financial modeling, valuation techniques (DCF, comparables, precedent transactions), and transaction structuring. - Demonstrated ability to negotiate, close deals, and manage end-to-end M&A lifecycle. - Experience coordinating multi-geography transactions and managing multiple stakeholders across time zones.Education- CA, CFA, or MBA from a top-tier institution (IIM, ISB, Ivy League, or equivalent). - Advanced financial and analytical acumen with a strong grasp of corporate finance, accounting, and deal economics.Key Competencies- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills; ability to translate complex data into strategic insights. - Strong communication and presentation skills with board-level exposure. - High degree of integrity, confidentiality, and executive presence. - Proven ability to work in fast-paced, global, matrixed environments. - Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.Preferred Qualifications- Prior experience in a mid-sized global IT services, consulting, or staffing organization. - Exposure to private equity or venture-backed environments and buy-side due diligence. - Track record of successful integrations and post-merger synergy realization.Why Join Us- Opportunity to lead global inorganic growth for a rapidly scaling IT services and staffing organization. - High-visibility role with direct impact on corporate strategy and long-term value creation. - Collaborate with a global leadership team driving digital transformation and global expansion.
