Our Performance Team is responsible for Performance analysis, scalability, reliability and capacity/sizing initiatives in MPL. As part of the Performance Engineering team you will lead to identifying bottlenecks, architectural problems and performance issues while working on the most cutting edge intelligence systems. You’ll partner with the cross-functional teams to give performance consultation and contribute insights and tips. You’ll also improve the automation framework for continuous performance benchmark and analysis and maintain a stream of innovation and use out-of-the-box thinking to bring stability to our platform.


What is the nature and scope of responsibilities the candidate should have handled?

  • Design and implement performance/load/stress tests to exercise target systems to ensure that actual performance meets defined requirements.
  • Develop and enhance existing tools and processes for monitoring and measuring service performance in production and staging environments.
  • Establish verifiable performance benchmarks for core and system components.
  • Ensure timely proactive identification of performance issues, escalating issues as warranted.
  • Interface with software development team, architects, systems analysts, etc. to suggest improvements to services and configuration.
  • Work among cross-functional teams, providing required support and technical assistance to persons of varying technical background and knowledge.


Who are we looking for?

  • 1-3+ years of experience on analysing and troubleshooting performance workloads on large scale systems
  • Strong programming skills in Java/Python
  • Experience in debugging, configuration and tuning of Application server, JVM and databases in any container-based architecture preferably Kubernetes and/or Mesos dcos will be preferable
  • Experience conducting benchmark and/or work-load testing using automation tools and frameworks for performance measurement and analysis (Locustio, Gatling, Jmeter)
  • Experience in debugging performance issues using NewRelic AMP, Grafana, and Prometheus will be preferable
  • Experience in one of public cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) will be preferable
  • Experience or knowledge of Mysql database performance analysis and tuning will be preferable
