About the Role: We are looking for a proactive and detail-orientedAssociateto join ourTechnology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT)practice. The ideal candidate should have 1–3 years of post-qualification experience in advising clients ontechnology transactions, data protection, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance . This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge issues at the intersection of law, innovation, and digital transformation. Key Responsibilities: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range ofcommercial technology contracts , including SaaS agreements, licensing, software development, and service-level agreements. Advise clients ondata protection, privacy laws, and cybersecurity regulations , including compliance with theDigital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act)and global data privacy standards (e.g., GDPR). Assist in providing regulatory and strategic advice to clients in thetelecommunications, e-commerce, fintech, OTT, and digital mediasectors. Conduct legal research and prepare advisory notes on issues involvingAI regulation, online content governance, digital advertising, and intermediary liability . Support due diligence and transactional work intechnology and media sector investments , mergers, and acquisitions. Liaise with regulatory bodies such asTRAI, MeitY, and DoT , and assist in compliance and licensing matters. Draft policies, terms of service, privacy policies, and internal compliance frameworks for clients across industries. Key Skills & Requirements: LL.B.from a recognized university; specialization intechnology law, IP law, or cyber lawpreferred. 1–3 years of experience inTMT law , preferably with a leading law firm or in-house legal team. Strong understanding of theDigital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ,Information Technology Act, 2000 , and sectoral regulations. Excellentlegal drafting, analytical, and communication skills. Keen interest in emerging technologies such asAI, blockchain, digital platforms, and fintech. Ability to manage multiple assignments and deliver under tight timelines.
