This role willinclude leasing/finance reporting and asset addition to sub-ledgerresponsibilities on a large portfolio of technology assets. - Responsiblefor ensuring the successfulcompletion of close activities,ranging fromdata entry and ledgerentry to deliverables review - Prepares and reviews complex account reconciliations,financial analyses, and deliverables - Acts independently to leadand complete projects with complex objectives - Understandsthe relevantaccounting principles and can communicate theapplication of GAAP topeers and business partners. - Works independently toidentify and execute projects and process improvements to enhanceefficiency - Thesuccessful candidate will report into a Finance Manager.This willinclude working with central accounting, finance operationand Globalfinancial teams to ensure we have a controlled accountingprocess to domonth end accounting and reporting activities in a mannerfitting withour "Customer Obsession", "Deliver Results" and "Insiston HighestStandard" philosophy. The Financial Analyst responsibilities include month end activities and ensure proper reviewof account balances for Amazon,preparation and review ofmonthly/quarterly/annually reconciliations andbalance sheet analysis. - This position will support the management inall aspects offinancial accounting, reporting systems, procedures andpolicies. Onthe audit front, Financial Analyst will managedepartment'sresponse to internal and external audit requirements andwill ensurecompliance with SOX requirements for allgeographies/activities handledby Shared Services. - This position willalso play an important role in promotingsystems/process developmentwithin department to ensure ongoingefficiency and control improvements.The successful candidate will havea strong desire in innovatingprocesses and exceed expectations in adynamic, fast-paced environment,primarily driving innovation onbehalfof our customers. - Performing month end activities that include closingofsubledgers, general ledger account reconciliations, reporting andbalancesheet account analysis. - Ensure appropriate financial policies, procedures, and internal controls are in place, documented, and operating as intended. ·Provide response to internal and external audit requirements andensure compliance with Sox requirements for all geographies/activities. - Driveprocess improvements required to enhance controls and quality ofreconciliations and related processes. Build and monitor performancemetrics, with principal focus onensuring timely delivery of month endreports, reconciliations and otherdeliverables. - Maintain monthly communications and metricsreportingwithDirector and VP level business partners in financeoperations,centralaccounting and FOAA.Actively participate instrategicinitiatives and special projects when assigned or required.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses - CA with 5-6 Yrs of accounting experience - Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle,Essbase/Smartview - Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting - Experience using data to influence business decisions - Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis - Experience in Month end closing of Books of accounts/working on various sub-ledgers/Accounting Knowledge/Balance Sheet Reconciliation. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - 5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience - Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - Decision-making and problem solving skillsOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
