Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Infrastructure Management Specialist with a strong focus on AIX Administration. The ideal candidate will have 2 5 years of experience in managing and supporting infrastructure systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This role requires a proactive approach to problem solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service delivery.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong expertise in AIX Administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with system monitoring tools and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions for AIX environments.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., IBM PowerVM).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Perl) for automation tasks.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and services.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain AIX operating systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Implement and manage system backups, disaster recovery plans, and security measures.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to support infrastructure projects and initiatives.
• Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to infrastructure management.
