Role Description :

This is a full-time remote role for Oracle Apps DBA at Pansoft Technologies LLC in Pune.

The consultant should have experience of min 3 years in this field and should be willing to go to the client's locations(Pune) as and when required.

Key Responsibilities :

Oracle EBS Administration :

- Manage installation, configuration, administration, and support for Oracle E-Business Suite (R12) environments.

- Perform regular patching, cloning, and upgrades of the Oracle Applications and databases.

- Troubleshoot and resolve any application or database issues, ensuring system stability and performance.

- Manage concurrent processing, workflow management, and overall health of Oracle EBS instances.

Database Administration :

- Maintain and manage Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c), ensuring high availability and disaster recovery solutions (RMAN, Dataguard).

- Perform database tuning and query optimization to ensure optimal performance.

- Apply patches and updates, and execute backups and recovery of Oracle databases.

- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations for improvement.

Security and Compliance :

- Ensure compliance with security standards, managing user access, roles, and privileges.

- Implement best practices for security, ensuring database integrity and data protection.

- Support audits and maintain documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.

Backup and Recovery :

- Develop and maintain backup/recovery strategies and high availability configurations.

- Perform backup validation, restoration testing, and disaster recovery drills.

Performance Tuning :

- Monitor and resolve performance issues, tuning Oracle EBS, databases, and SQL queries.

- Work closely with developers to optimize application and database :

- Work closely with technical teams, business users, and developers to provide Oracle DBA support.

- Provide support during production releases, troubleshooting incidents, and resolving critical issues.

Support & Documentation :

- Provide day-to-day technical support and administration of Oracle EBS and databases.

- Maintain accurate documentation of the Oracle EBS environments, including changes, issues, and fixes.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 3-6 years of experience as an Oracle Apps DBA managing Oracle E-Business Suite (R12) and Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c).

- Strong hands-on experience with RMAN, Dataguard, RAC, and ASM.

- Experience with patching, cloning, and upgrading Oracle Applications and databases.

- Solid understanding of PL/SQL, SQL tuning, and Oracle database performance tuning.

- Experience in managing Oracle EBS security, user administration, and compliance.

- Knowledge of Linux/Unix shell scripting.

- Familiarity with WebLogic and Fusion Middleware administration.

- Experience in backup/recovery strategies and disaster recovery solutions.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms is a plus.

- Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and administration.

- Strong hands-on experience with RMAN, Dataguard, RAC, and ASM.

- Familiarity with ticketing tools is a plus.
