Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Design Engineer at Centra Autopac India Pvt Ltd located in Coimbatore. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks related to design engineering, mechanical engineering, computer-aided design (CAD) and product design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing Machines and Parts: Utilize Solid Edge (Siemens) software for machine and part design. (Training will be provided for users who are only familiar with SolidWorks.)
- Flat Pattern Extraction: Generate 2D flat patterns for manufacturing.
- Sheet Metal Optimization: Optimize sheet metal layouts for laser cutting (Nesting).
- Bill of Materials (BOM) Preparation: Compile BOM.
- Instruction Drawings Preparation:
- Create detailed sheet bending instructions.
- Develop precise welding instructions.
- Vendor Coordination:
- Work with laser cutting vendors to ensure error-free output.
- Collaborate with sheet bending vendors for accurate results.
- Assembly Support: Assist assembly technicians by familiarizing them with assembly drawings and processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 Yrs Experience In Mechanical CAD Designing is Required.
- Preference Will be Given to Candidates fluent in Solid Edge Software
- Salary is not a constraint for the right candidate
