Job Title: Senior Manager - Claims Advocacy

  • Ownership to facilitate claims process for clients ensuring progress from notification through to closure
  • Monitor insurers responses and engage with them and their professional advisers to drive smooth review of claims for a broad-spectrum clients


We will count on you to:

  • Help build the Claims Advocacy value proposition by consistently innovating and enhancing the existing solutions and services
  • Develop and implement tailored solutions to drive quick resolution of complex problems
  • Communicate the agreed solutions, its parameters, its assumptions, and inner workings to audience who vary widely in their level of technical fluency and seniority
  • Second Advocate to US-Based advocates. Able to advance large losses through all stages of claims process with lesser degree of direct and active supervision of US-based Advocate than Claims Advocate I
  • Identify and produce preliminary coverage analysis where applicable for complex programs subject to review of US-based Advocates
  • Under supervision of US-based Advocate, can progress market discussions for losses with multiple categories of loss (property damage, additional coverages, business interruption)
  • When applicable, communicate directly with client concerning the loss, with US-based Advocate leading communication at key stages (e.g., where client must make a key strategic decision) and in copy on all correspondence to promote supervision
  • Conduct Follow-up with Markets and Independent Adjusters to obtain and provide status reports through to conclusion with closure in mCLAIM
  • Responsible for reporting losses to Claim Operations and maintaining all mCLAIM data fields
  • Introduced to the Insurer claim handler at the outset of the claim as acting together with the US based Advocate, works to include the appropriate personnel in correspondence as the claim progresses, along with making the subject title of correspondence clearer for all to follow
  • Chasing settlements: The IKS Advocate can be provided the Schedule of Insurers and the Proof of Loss and chase those insurers for payment
  • Open and close files within mCLAIM as dictated by data, and Ad hoc projects such as updating mCLAIM fields / Closing old claims, etc



What you need to have:

  • Strong experience in the General Insurance domain across different types of claims, claims lifecycle and claim data
  • Graduate or Masters in Commerce or Business Administration or any equivalent education programme in Insurance domain
  • MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong Excel proficiency
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills - excellent email writing skills
  • Must be comfortable with working on new age data management tools
