We are looking for a Procurement Executive to manage the sourcing and procurement of solar components for our C&I projects. You will be responsible for tracking market prices, negotiating with vendors, ensuring timely material delivery, and building strong supplier relationships to support our project execution.This is a hands-on operational role requiring strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with our project execution team.Key Responsibilities:Vendor Management & SourcingIdentify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, cables, and BOS componentsMaintain relationships with key vendors across product categoriesConduct regular vendor performance reviews based on pricing, quality, and delivery timelinesBuild a backup vendor network to mitigate supply chain risksPrice Tracking & Market IntelligenceTrack weekly/monthly price trends for solar modules, inverters, and other key materialsMaintain price comparison sheets across multiple vendorsMonitor market developments (anti-dumping duties, import regulations, manufacturer updates)Provide regular price reports to management for budgeting and quotationsNegotiation & Cost OptimizationNegotiate pricing, payment terms, and bulk discounts with suppliersCompare vendor quotations and recommend the best value optionsIdentify opportunities for cost savings through strategic sourcingNegotiate warranty terms and after-sales support agreementsProcurement ExecutionPrepare and release Purchase Orders based on project material requirementsCoordinate with team to understand project timelines and specificationsTrack order status and ensure on-time delivery to sites/warehousesResolve delivery delays, quality issues, or documentation problems promptlyDocumentation & ComplianceMaintain organized records of POs, invoices, delivery challans, and vendor agreementsEnsure proper GST documentation and compliance for all purchasesUpdate material procurement data in Zoho Books/CRMPrepare monthly procurement reports (spend analysis, vendor performance, savings achieved)Quality & Technical CoordinationVerify technical specifications of materials match project requirementsCoordinate with vendors on product datasheets, certifications, and warrantiesHandle material inspection coordination before dispatch (where applicable)Flag quality issues and work with vendors on replacements/resolutionsRequired QualificationsExperience & Education2-4 years of procurement experience, preferably in solar/electrical/construction materialsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, or related fieldPrior experience in renewable energy sector is a strong advantageTechnical KnowledgeGood understanding of solar components: modules, inverters, mounting structures Familiarity with Balance of System (BOS) components - cables, connectors, earthing materials, junction boxesKnowledge of product certifications (IEC, IS standards, BIS approvals)Attention to detail - accurate documentation and order trackingAbility to work independently and take ownership of the procurement functionProblem-solving mindset for handling supply chain disruptionsNice to HaveExisting network of solar panel/inverter distributors or manufacturersExperience with Zoho Books, Tally, or similar ERP systemsKnowledge of logistics and transportation coordination
