Description :As a Software Engineer II, you will be a core contributor to our backend services, focusing on solidifying your skills, taking ownership of tasks, and delivering high-quality code. You will explore and work with cutting-edge technologies and a large, rich data set under the direct guidance of senior engineers. If you are passionate about efficient code and eager to quickly expand your knowledge of scalable systems, ZoomInfo is the right place for you.Responsibilities :- Implement assigned medium-sized features and application modules based on established design specifications and clear acceptance criteria.- Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code primarily in TypeScript and Node.js .- Independently diagnose and resolve production bugs and contribute to the maintenance of existing backend services.- Work with senior engineers to implement and update REST/GraphQL API endpoints.- Perform data modelling and query optimisation in MongoDB and implement caching solutions using Redis.- Actively participate in code reviews, focusing on learning team standards and providing constructive feedback on peers' code.- Assist with the containerization and deployment process using Docker and CI/CD tools.- Focus on building a deep working knowledge of one or more core services, and actively seek documentation and clarification on overall system : - 2-5 years of software engineering experience, with a B. S. in Computer Science or equivalent.- 1+ years of hands-on experience building backend services, preferably in Familiarity with modern backend frameworks (NestJS, Express, or Fastify).- Working knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) and caching fundamentals (e.g., Redis).- Experience with basic API concepts (HTTP methods, status codes).- Basic understanding of cloud environments (GCP or AWS), Docker, and CI/CD tools.- A strong sense of ownership, eagerness to learn quickly, and excellent problem-solving skills.- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate technical issues.
