Role: Senior/Lead Data ModellerExperience: 6+ YrsLocation: PuneNotice Period: Immediate to 15 days onlyInterview: Virtual discussionMode: Hybrid – 4 days a weekAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Data Modeler to join our data engineering team for a leading banking project. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data modeling using Erwin, a deep understanding of Medallion architecture, and strong analytical skills to translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality data models.Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models using Erwin Data Modeler. - Implement and optimize Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) for data pipelines and analytical systems. - Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and architects to define data modeling standards and best practices. - Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient data models. - Ensure data consistency, quality, and governance across multiple systems and environments. - Participate in data architecture reviews and provide guidance on database design and performance optimization. - Support data lineage, metadata management, and data cataloging initiatives. - Collaborate with the banking domain teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards.Required Skills & Experience- Minimum 6 years of experience in data modeling within large-scale enterprise environments. - Strong hands-on experience with Erwin Data Modeler (or equivalent data modeling tools). - Proven experience in Medallion architecture (Bronze–Silver–Gold layers) and modern data lake design. - Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT design, and data governance. - Solid knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational and NoSQL databases. - Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and modern data engineering ecosystems. - Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams. - Prior experience working on banking or financial services projects is mandatory.Good to Have- Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, or Azure Data Factory. - Knowledge of CDC (Change Data Capture) and data integration patterns. - Understanding of data quality frameworks and data cataloging tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation).
