Job Summary :

As the QA Manager for Streaming TV, you will lead our quality assurance efforts, overseeing the testing process from planning to execution for all Streaming TV projects.

You will ensure the delivery of high-quality software products by managing a talented QA team and implementing best practices in testing and quality assurance.

Your role is crucial in establishing a culture of quality across the organization and ensuring that our outputs meet the highest standards before reaching our clients.

You will leverage your expertise to define and enhance the QA strategy, drive improvements in testing processes, and mentor the QA team to develop their skills and competencies.

Requirements :

Knowledge, Skills & Experience :

- 10+ years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on streaming media or related applications.

- Proven experience in managing and mentoring QA teams.

- Strong understanding of various testing methodologies, including functional, regression, performance, and automation testing.

- Ability to develop and implement QA strategies and processes that align with business goals.

- Experience with automation testing frameworks and tools like Selenium, Cypress, etc.

- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Experience with AWS and cloud-based solutions is a plus.

- Should have knowledge of mRSS feed and ability to create custom mRSS feeds as per testing requirements.

- Knowledge of HLS(Linear Channel, Live Channel and VoD Channel), MPEG and Transportstreams.

- Should have basic knowledge of AWS(S3, MediaLive, CF, etc,).

- Strong Experience with automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright or Cypress.

Responsibilities :


- Lead and manage a team of QA engineers


- Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and knowledge Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team


- Define and implement comprehensive QA strategies aligned with business objectives


- Develop and maintain a robust testing framework, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts


- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality standards are met


- Oversee the execution of functional, regression, performance, and automation testing


- Monitor and analyze test results to identify and resolve defects


- Track and manage test metrics to measure quality and efficiency


- Drive the adoption of automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) to improve test efficiency and coverage


- Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation into the CI/CD pipeline


- Identify and troubleshoot complex technical issues


- Analyze root causes of defects and implement corrective actions


- Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies


- Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration


- Present clear and concise reports on test results and quality metrics to stakeholders


- Provide timely updates on project status and potential risks
