Job Title : DFT Lead Engineer

Experience : 8+ years -DFT

Location : Bangalore

Key Responsibilities :


- Take complete ownership of chip-level DFT architecture, implementation, and validation.

- Lead post-silicon debug and failure analysis for scan patterns and test cases.

- Define and implement scan architecture, including Scan Compression techniques such as XOR, Adaptive, OP-MISR.

- Perform scan chain insertion, verification, and generate DFT patterns (stuck-at, transition, IDDQ, memory, BIST).

- Generate and analyze fault coverage statistics and work on pattern re-generation as needed.

- Generate functional patterns for ATE and support bring-up activities.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems, analog, layout, and test to ensure DFT success.

- Contribute to MBIST/LBIST architecture and implementation.

- Develop and review timing constraints for STA and physical design flow.

Required Skills and Experience :


- 8+ years of relevant DFT and digital design experience.

- Proven experience in chip-level DFT ownership and post-silicon debug.

- Deep understanding of JTAG, scan compression, scan chain architecture, and DFT verification.

- Hands-on experience with pattern generation for :

1. Stuck-at faults (Nominal, VBOX)

2. IDDQ

3. Transition faults

4. Memory and E-fuse tests

5. JTAG BSDL patterns

- Experience debugging tester failures, including pattern diagnosis and regeneration.

- Familiarity with industry-standard DFT tools such as :

1. Cadence Modus

2. Synopsys Tetramax / DFTMAX

3. Mentor Tessent

- Strong grasp of physical design constraints, timing analysis, and integration requirements.

Preferred Skills :

- Proficiency in TCL / Perl scripting.

- Familiarity with analog/mixed-signal design cycles and integration.

- Prior experience in MBIST/LBIST is a strong plus.

- Effective communication and team collaboration skills.

- Proven track record of cross-functional leadership and goal ownership.
