Trade Officer/Manager (depending on the level of responsibility)Location: Dubai Primary Responsibilities:1. Trade Execution and Settlement:- Facilitate the execution and settlement of trades (could be in commodities, financial instruments, or physical goods).- Ensure all trading transactions are processed accurately and promptly.- Monitor trades for discrepancies or issues that need immediate resolution.2. Documentation and Compliance:- Prepare and verify trade documentation (purchase orders, invoices, contracts, shipping docs, etc.).- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including customs documentation for imports/exports.- Ensure adherence to company policies and external regulations (e.g., sanctions, trade laws).3. Risk Management:- Monitor market movements, assess risk, and implement risk management strategies to minimize exposure for the company.- Identify and report any potential risk issues during the trading process, especially with cross-border trade.- Coordinate with risk management teams to mitigate financial or logistical risks.4. Logistics and Supply Chain Coordination:- Coordinate the movement of goods (if it's a physical commodity trade) from suppliers to end customers, including shipping, handling, and customs.- Manage inventory and stock levels, ensuring trade orders align with supply chain capabilities.- Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs authorities to ensure timely and efficient delivery.5. Financial and Reporting:- Assist in tracking trade-related costs and revenues, ensuring proper accounting for each transaction.- Provide regular trade operation reports and insights to senior management.- Work with finance teams to ensure accurate invoicing and payment collections for international trades.6. Coordination with Internal Teams:- Work closely with sales, trading, and finance teams to ensure smooth operations from trade initiation to execution.- Address and resolve any operational issues, ensuring minimal disruption to the trade process.7. Customer and Supplier Relationship Management:- Communicate effectively with clients and suppliers, ensuring they are updated on trade progress, delivery status, and any issues.- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the supply chain.8. Technology and Systems:- Utilize trade management systems or platforms to monitor and manage the execution of trades.- Stay up-to-date with trading software, industry-specific tools, and technologies to streamline operations.9. Dispute Resolution:- Handle any disputes or issues that arise during trade execution, whether related to pricing discrepancies, shipment delays, or quality issues.- Act as a point of contact for any complaints or concerns related to trades.Key Skills:- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in processing trade documentation and transactions.- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.- Problem-Solving: The ability to quickly resolve operational issues or discrepancies.- Analytical Skills: Ability to understand market trends, risk factors, and trade logistics.- Knowledge of International Trade Laws: Familiarity with customs regulations, tariffs, and international compliance.- Organizational Skills: Managing multiple tasks and coordinating various stakeholders efficiently.- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with trade platforms, ERP systems, and Excel or other data analysis tools.Required Qualifications:- A bachelors degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.- Experience in trade operations or international trade, typically 5-6 years (depending on seniority).- Familiarity with trade documentation, letters of credit, and payment terms (e.g., FOB, CIF).- Experience with logistics, customs clearance, and global shipping is a plus.
