Trade Compliance & Logistics Specialist | BASF Nunhems | India | Fulltime

At BASF’s vegetable seeds business, it is our ambition to make healthy eating enjoyable and sustainable. Together and in collaboration with partners we are eager to improve our vegetable varieties and solutions for our customers, the vegetable value chain and consumers worldwide. To further develop and grow this ambition we are looking for an Operational Excellence Lead.

At the moment, we are looking for Trade Compliance & Logistics Specialist to join and further develop our ambition.

Major Accountabilities

• Import Export clearance of seed and non-seed materials with updated knowledge of country regulations.
• Liaison with Govt agencies, CHA, Freight forwarders and financial institutions.
• Freight negotiations and balance payments follow-up
• Conduct risk assessment of suppliers, vendors, and partners to ensure compliance with trade regulations.
• Development and implement trade compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
• Should take care of procedures, formalities and documents relating to export and import.
• Responsible to take care of international shipments under compliance framework.
• Take care of DGFT schemes & Licenses (EPCG, Duty Drawback, EXIM policies and procedures etc..)
• Maintain all the documents and involve in the audit process.
• Maintain import export tracking file and update it regularly to all the stakeholders.
• Should work under ERP environment.
• Report any hazard / near miss / incident if observed to site HSE team.
• participate in all safety activities / campaigns

Your Profile

• Batchelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics or related field, Master’s degree adds value & 2 to 5 years of experience in Logistics/supply chain
• Understand local, regional & global policies and procedures
• Knowledge of seed industry
• Ability to handle the workload pressure
• EXIM knowledge on agricultural products
• knowledge of trade compliance
• Familiarity with incoterms and trade agreements
• Strong negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills
