As an Engineer, you will work as part of a global team supported by our business and architecture partners to help us collaboratively develop and deliver industry leading technology solutions that drive lululemon’s business goals.Engineer IICore Responsibilities:As an Engineer II, you will help form the core of our engineering practice at lululemon by contributing to all areas of development and operations (pre-production to production). You will be supported by a strong engineering group, and established engineering practices. You will be part of a production release team and may perform on-call support functions as needed. Having a DevOps mindset is the key to success in this role, as Engineers are commonly part of full DevOps teams that “own” all parts of software development, release pipelines, production monitoring, security and support.Take part in Agile ceremoniesPerform engineering assignments using existing procedures and best practicesConduct research to aid in product troubleshooting and optimization effortsWork closely with global teams to ensure deliver effective technical solutionsProvide an escalation point and participate in on-call support rotationsActively monitor key metrics and report on trendsParticipate in our Engineering Community of PracticeContribute to engineering automation, management or development of production level systemsPerform reliability monitoring and support as needed to ensure products meet guest expectationsQualifications:Completed Bachelor’s degree or diploma (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Software Architecture preferred; candidates with substantial and relevant industry experience are also eligible7 – 8 years of engineering experience requiredAbility to learn, understand, and work quickly with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology spaceStrong experience with Java, Springboot in building production-grade systemsGood knowledge and working experience in Agile methodology and familiar with tools like Jira and ConfluenceDeep understanding of Kafka and experience working with Kafka in a high-scale production environment (e.g., Kafka clusters, message processing, schema management).Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-native applications on AWS Lambda (preferred), Azure, or GCP.Proficient in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and automated testing practices.Experience with event-driven architecture using Kafka or similar tools.Familiarity with serverless computing or edge computing technologies.Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio.Knowledge of security best practices for backend services, data protection, and authentication protocols.(Nice to have) Leverage ecommerce domain knowledge to design solutions that improve customer experience, conversion rates, and operational efficiency(Nice to have / should be interested to learn) lucidworks fusion and new techNice to have working experience in Python, lucidworks fusion, implementation of microservices
