Inviting applications for the role of PD, Payroll (R2R)
We are looking for someone with deep understanding and ability to perform day-to-day operations while maintaining SLA. Solving queries and being responsible for managing and processing payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records
Requirements -
Location - Kolkata
Experience - 18 months+
Shift - 6pm to 6am (9 hrs between them)
Notice Period - 30 Days
5 days working from office
One way cab facility.

Responsibilities
- Act as Subject Matter Specialist for the payroll processes having end to end knowledge
- Process Fortnightly/Monthly payroll for employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees
- Maintain accurate payroll computation (i.e., have worked on Severance Payout, leave salary, accrual, Bonus calculations, overtime calculations, various types of awards calculations)
- Handling payroll-related issues, answer employee query for its resolution
- Manage payroll taxes, benefits and deductions, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations
- Prepare and review Payroll related financial reports, including journal entries (e.g., Bonus, Leave accrual, Payroll JE) and account reconciliations
- Reconcile payroll accounts, resolving discrepancies and ensuring accurate financial reporting
- Collaborate with HR and benefits teams to ensure accurate payroll processing
- Ensure to meet Service Levels Agreement results (daily/weekly/monthly)
- Ensure all close procedures are performed accurately and timely understanding on MS-Office with excellent MS-Excel skills and good PowerPoint skills (should be aware of following MS-Excel functions: VLOOKUP, Hlookup, Pivot, Graphs, Sum if, count if, Counta, delimit, Concatenate)
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- Graduate in Commerce (B. Com), MBA, CA Intermediate
- 1-3 years of experience in general ledger accounting, with a focus on Payroll accounting
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP) and accounting systems (e.g., ORACLE, SAP, ARCS)
- Strong understanding of payroll taxes, laws, and regulations
Preferred qualifications
- Strong Interpersonal Skills (verbal and written)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks
