Job Description:


Part of a software engineering team responsible for building and operating innovative products within the Automotive sector of an Australian MNC. Our goal is to achieve engineering excellence through the utilisation of software development best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full Software Development Lifecycle:
  • Design, code, verify, test, document, amend, and refactor software products.
  • Apply agreed-upon standards and tools to ensure well-engineered solutions.
  • Collaborative Development:
  • Participate in code reviews with other developers, architects, product managers, UI/UX designers, and testers.
  • Work together to enhance software design and quality.
  • Software Design:
  • Lead the complete design of moderately complex software applications or components.
  • Participate collaboratively in designing components of larger systems.
  • Create various design views to meet stakeholder needs and address functional/non-functional requirements.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Work independently with general direction.
  • Utilise discretion to tackle complex issues and assignments.
  • Team Leadership (Potential):
  • May supervise junior team members.
  • Make decisions impacting assigned work or project phases.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality SaaS software products and advocating for engineering best practices.
  • Extensive background in software development and design, including proficiency in design patterns and architectural principles.
  • Proficiency in Agile software delivery methodologies.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring junior team members.

Technical Skill Matrix

  • .NET - 8+ years of hands-on experience
  • SQL/Stored Proc - 8+ years of hands-on experience
  • DBA/Database Tools (SSIS) - 4-6 years of hands-on experience
  • HTML/JS - 1-3 years of experience
  • AWS & OS/Scripting - 1-3 years of experience


Interview Process

From the India Office:


Round 1 - involves an online written technical evaluation through an Equip Online Test. This test is conducted online and lasts for one hour.

Round 2 - consists of a face-to-face technical and managerial interview. For local candidates, an in-person meeting is mandatory. For outstation candidates, video conferencing can be arranged.


From the Sydney office:

Round 3- may involve an additional round of discussion with the Project Manager of the Australian team.
