ABOUT POSITION:

As the head of content, responsibility will be to create, edit & publish organization's content. This can include blog posts, press releases, product descriptions, social media posts and any other internal & external communication.


JOB DESCRIPTION

Leadership: Work on creating the overall content strategy for the organization by understanding the sector, our operational philosophy, our marketing & brand guidelines and alignment with overall mission & vision of the organization. Lead the ‘content’ vertical and ensure effective optimization of resources. Encourage good-quality content creation through multiple modes for target audience. Lead & develop team in their professional skills


 Strategy: Oversees channel selection, have governance/guidelines on editing, manage ROI on each content, track progress, benchmark competition etc.


Operations: Hands-on and understands various methods of content creation & delivery through online and offline platforms. Create & optimize high-quality, engaging and relevant content including websites, blogs, videos, newsletters and email. Manages and oversees organization’s social media platforms in regard to content, consumer engagement, services, performance management, and communications (shareholders, investors or any other stakeholder).


The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, English, Public Relations, International Relations or any other related field
  • Experience of over 15 years in the field of communications, preferably as a Senior Content Editor or Senior Content Marketer
  • Experience as a writer or editor before becoming the head of content will be an added advantage
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills – able to connect with all levels of the company
  • Ability to deliver timely, accurate and trusted results to senior leadership
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
