Job Description:

Assurance Developers is seeking a meticulous and experienced Quantity Surveyor and Purchase Officer to manage cost estimation, budgeting, and procurement for our residential construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and purchasing, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accurate forecasting of expenses. Develop and manage project budgets to maintain cost-effectiveness.
  • Quantity Surveying: Measure and value the work done on-site, ensuring accurate quantities are calculated for materials and labor. Regularly update cost and progress reports.
  • Material Procurement: Identify and source high-quality materials at competitive prices. Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.
  • Tendering and Contracts: Prepare tender documents, contracts, and other related documentation. Analyze and evaluate bids from contractors and suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Cost Control: Monitor ongoing project costs against budgets, identify potential cost overruns, and suggest corrective actions. Ensure that all purchases align with project specifications and budget constraints.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all cost estimates, purchase orders, contracts, and supplier interactions. Prepare regular reports on cost and procurement activities for management review.
  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quantity surveying and procurement, preferably in residential construction.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and market trends.
