About the Role :We are looking for a highly skilled Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Expert to design, implement, and manage our cloud infrastructure and services. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in GCP tools, cloud-native architectures, and modern DevOps practices. You will work closely with engineering, security, and product teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and compliance of our cloud environment.Key Responsibilities :Architecture & Design :- Design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-optimized GCP cloud architectures.- Evaluate and recommend GCP services (e.g., BigQuery, Pub/Sub, GKE, Cloud SQL, Vertex AI) for business use cases.- Build CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar tools.Cloud Operations :- Manage and optimize GCP infrastructure including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, and Networking.- Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and third-party tools.- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data backup & Compliance :- Implement Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, VPC Service Controls, and encryption standards.- Ensure compliance with regulations (SOC2, ISO27001, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.) by leveraging GCPs security features.- Conduct security reviews and remediate :- Work with developers, data engineers, and AI/ML teams to build and scale applications on GCP.- Partner with finance teams for cloud cost optimization and budgeting.- Mentor junior engineers on GCP best practices.Required Skills & Qualifications :Technical Expertise :- 4+ years of experience with cloud platforms, with at least 3+ years focused on Google Cloud Platform.- Strong knowledge of Compute (GCE, GKE), Storage, Networking (VPC, Cloud Interconnect, Load Balancers), and Security (IAM, KMS, Shielded VMs).- Proficiency with BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and modern data/AI services.- Hands-on experience with Terraform/Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.- Knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes, GKE) and serverless Skills :- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.- Excellent communication and documentation (Preferred) :- Google Professional Cloud Architect- Google Professional Data Engineer- Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer (ref:hirist.tech)
