About the Role :


We are looking for a highly skilled Backend + AI Engineer who will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems while integrating AI-driven solutions into our products.

This role requires a strong foundation in backend engineering (APIs, databases, microservices, cloud) combined with expertise in building and deploying AI/ML models.

You will collaborate closely with data scientists, product managers, and frontend engineers to deliver intelligent, data-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities : Engineering :


- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services and APIs.


- Develop microservices and serverless applications to support AI/ML workloads.
- Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability for large-scale data processing.


- Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices.

- Manage databases (SQL/NoSQL), data pipelines, and caching systems.

- Ensure seamless integration between backend systems, AI models, and external services.

AI/ML Engineering :


- Collaborate with data scientists to productionize AI/ML models (NLP, CV, Recommendation, Predictive Analytics, etc.

- Build pipelines for model training, testing, deployment, and monitoring (MLOps).

- Deploy models into production using frameworks like TensorFlow Serving, TorchServe, or FastAPI.

- Implement A/B testing, feedback loops, and continuous learning mechanisms for AI systems.

- Optimize models for inference speed, scalability, and cost efficiency.

- Explore and implement cutting-edge AI techniques, including Generative AI, LLMs, or custom deep learning models.

Collaboration & Leadership :


- Work closely with product and engineering teams to align AI initiatives with business goals.

- Translate complex technical solutions into business-friendly insights.

- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and best-practice sharing.

- Mentor junior engineers on backend and AI development practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications : Expertise :


- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, Go, or Node.js for backend development.


- Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, gRPC, and WebSockets.


- Hands-on experience with databases : SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, DynamoDB).


- Expertise in AI/ML frameworks : TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face Transformers.

- Experience with MLOps tools : MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, or Vertex AI.

- Cloud expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP for deploying backend and AI workloads.

- Familiarity with containerization & orchestration : Docker, Kubernetes.

- Knowledge of distributed systems, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS).

- Understanding of DevOps practices (CI/CD, Git, automated testing).

Soft Skills :


- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

- Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment.

- Curiosity for AI advancements and eagerness to apply them in real-world products
