Job Summary: The Academic Program Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing and overseeing academic programs at PIBM. This position involves coordinating between faculty, students, and administrative departments to ensure smooth program operations, enhancing the academic experience, and maintaining high standards of educational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Coordination:
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and assessment of academic programs.
- Ensure all program activities align with institutional goals and accreditation requirements.
- Monitor program schedules, curriculum delivery, and academic policies.
- Faculty and Staff Support:
- Collaborate with faculty to schedule courses and manage teaching assignments.
- Provide support to faculty in terms of academic resources and program-related queries.
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new faculty members.
- Student Support:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for students regarding academic program inquiries.
- Provide guidance on program requirements, course selection, and academic planning.
- Address and resolve student concerns or issues related to academic programs.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of program activities, student progress, and faculty performance.
- Prepare and manage program budgets, including tracking expenditures and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with other departments for effective program execution and support services.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.
- Collect and analyze feedback from students, faculty, and stakeholders to enhance program quality.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and institutional policies.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Facilitate communication between the academic department and other institutional units.
- Organize and participate in meetings, workshops, and events related to academic programs.
- Develop and distribute program-related materials, including brochures, handbooks, and reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in academic administration or program coordination within an educational setting.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and academic management software.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
