Position: Adabas DBA / Mainframe DBA

We are currently seeking a qualified Adabas DBA / Mainframe DBA to join our esteemed team. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of mainframe technologies and the ability to maintain the performance, security, and integrity of our Adabas databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and administer Adabas database systems in a mainframe environment.
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
  • Perform database backups, recovery operations, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Implement security protocols to safeguard data integrity and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize database performance and support application needs.
  • Document database configurations, processes, and maintenance activities for compliance and reference.
  • Provide technical support and expertise regarding Adabas and mainframe systems.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Adabas DBA or Mainframe DBA, with a strong understanding of mainframe technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of Adabas database architecture and administrative functions.
  • Experience with performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting in a mainframe environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant programming languages and tools related to database management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, with a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in database administration are a considerable advantage.
