Manager/Senior Manager - Event Sales Overview:
The Event Sales Manager plays a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of the events sales department, aligned with Hyatt Internationals Corporate Strategies and brand standards. This role focuses on assisting in driving revenue growth through the effective sale of events and catering services while meeting the expectations of employees, guests, and owners. The Event Sales Manager acts as a sales specialist, dedicated to maximizing revenue in a profitable manner consistent with agreed Responsibilities:- Assist in developing and implementing strategic sales plans for the Events and Catering department to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities for events and catering services within the luxury hotel segment.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, corporate accounts, and event planners to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Collaborate closely with operations, catering, and convention services teams to ensure seamless event execution and client satisfaction.
- Utilize strong banquet knowledge to advise clients on event capabilities, menus, and logistics.
- Prepare accurate sales reports, forecasts, and contract documents in a timely manner.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitors, and customer feedback to adapt sales approaches accordingly.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using MS Office applications, email communication, and hotel management systems such as Fidelio, Delphi, or Minimum 2 years of experience as an Event Sales Manager within a luxury international brand hotel.
- Solid understanding of selling techniques and banquet operations.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong computer literacy, with experience in relevant software systems an asset.
- Results-driven mindset with a customer-focused approach.
