Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in Production Support and Amazon Redshift monitoring. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, reliability, and security across our database environments. Key Responsibilities Perform daily production support activities including monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing database performance. Manage and monitor Amazon Redshift clusters, workloads, performance metrics, and query execution plans. Implement and maintain database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. Diagnose and resolve database issues, performance bottlenecks, and service interruptions. Support deployment, upgrades, and migration activities. Ensure database security, access control, and compliance with organizational standards. Collaborate with development, data engineering, and cloud infrastructure teams to support data solutions. Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and incident reports. Participate in on-call rotation for production database support. Required Skills 6–7 years of experience as a Database Administrator in a production environment. Strong experience in Redshift monitoring, performance tuning, and workload management. Hands-on experience with SQL scripting, query optimization, and database maintenance tasks. Understanding of AWS ecosystem and Redshift architecture (clusters, nodes, WLM, snapshots). Experience in backup/recovery processes, high availability, and disaster recovery planning. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in high-pressure production environments. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
