Business System Analyst

Systems Analysis & Requirement Gathering

  • Lead the gathering and analysis of functional and non-functional requirements from diverse stakeholders
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring all requirements are clearly understood, documented, and communicated
  • Drive the development of clear, detailed, and comprehensive documentation that translates technical ideas and processes for diverse audiences, facilitating stakeholder decision-making and ensuring project success

Technical Documentation & Process Mapping

  • Own the documentation of technical processes, workflows, and systems to ensure accuracy and alignment across teams
  • Create, review, and refine extensive documentation in Confluence, setting best practices for knowledge management and process clarity
  • Lead efforts in creating technical plans, production release VTAs, and other critical artifacts for project implementation
  • Develop flow diagrams and technical diagrams to enhance understanding of technical processes, using input from cross-functional teams

Task Coordination

  • Act as a key collaborator with Project Managers to organize, track, and manage Jira projects, ensuring tasks, stories, and sprints are effectively maintained and aligned with project goals
  • Proactively contribute to project planning, milestone tracking, and risk management, ensuring adherence to timelines and the smooth progression of deliverables
  • Serve as a bridge across teams to promote clarity, maintain project order, and resolve cross-functional challenges, driving successful project delivery

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Develop, lead, and execute detailed test plans and cases that validate both functional and non-functional system requirements, with an emphasis on comprehensive coverage and risk mitigation
  • Coordinate and oversee testing schedules, ensuring stakeholder communication is smooth and effective throughout pre- and post-production phases
  • Create, maintain, and refine detailed artifacts including testing scenarios, results documentation, and issue tracking to uphold quality standards


Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst demonstrating strong skills in requirement gathering, process analysis, and technical documentation
  • Proven ability to work in technical environments, with a strong aptitude for understanding complex systems without the need to code
  • Extensive experience managing project workflows in Jira and contributing to robust documentation practices using Confluence
  • 5+ years of QA experience developing test cases, coordinating testing activities, and creating comprehensive testing artifacts
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences and facilitate clear and effective discussions
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive process improvements across teams.
  • Experience with creating detailed diagrams and flowcharts using tools like Lucidchart, Visio, or equivalent to visually represent complex systems and processes
