CJP India, one of India's bravest civil society organisations is looking for a suitable candidate for the post of Campaign Manager. Our work in the defence of India's constitution, against hate speech and violence, our ongoing intervention in the citizenship crisis in Assam and the rest of India and our work in promoting Forest rights is well known. The Campaign Manager is expected to work closely with the larger team in developing and documenting campaign aspects and reaching out to donors and other stakeholders as per requirement. The manager is also expected to bring innovative solutions and ideas to the table for public advocacy outreach through videos, designs, blog posts etc. A small and professional team will aid the coordinator in this.

Our Program/Campaign Manager is responsible for research and handling of Citizens for Justice and Peace’s campaigns. This includes, but is not limited to, the follow tasks and activities:


  • Write reports and analyses of programmatic activities
  • Support the preparation of the programs budget
  • Oversee administrative duties within the programs team including database management and grants administration
  • Develop strategic grant making priorities for a region
  • Expected to understand, participate, record and communicate CJP’s programs
  • Create connections between grantees and other funders
  • Manage and produce program content on website as needed
  • Work in collaboration with other CJP teams
  • Contribute to the overall health and growth of the organisation
  • Strong critical thinking skills, ability to problem solve and resourcefulness
  • Ability to work well with a diverse group of constituents; Awareness and understanding of issues of privilege, oppression, and marginalized communities
  • Willingness to assume a range of unanticipated tasks and work flexible hours, including some weekends
  • Expected to write small and large programme articles, script and record videos related to the various forms of communications as required by the organisation
  • Expected to travel, interact with and continue to be involved with programs wherever they are
  • Identify communications opportunities and strategies to raise awareness about CJP campaigns
  • Writing/Communication skills


Work experience: 2 years’ work experience in Human Rights Advocacy preferred.


Educational experience: Educational background in Social Sciences, preferably a Bachelors in Social Work.
