Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced SAP Master Data Management (MDM) Consultant with a strong background in managing, integrating, and optimizing master data across SAP systems. The role involves working with SAP MDM tools and solutions to ensure the consistency, accuracy, and quality of enterprise master data, including material, customer, vendor, and other key business data. The ideal candidate should have at least 6 years of relevant experience in SAP MDM and 7+ years of total experience working with SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities :

MDM Implementation & Configuration :


- Lead the implementation and configuration of SAP Master Data Management solutions to ensure that master data is aligned with business needs and SAP best practices.

- Configure and manage SAP MDM tools and processes for managing master data across different SAP modules (e.g., SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP FI, SAP PP).

Master Data Governance :


- Establish and enforce master data governance policies and procedures to ensure high-quality, consistent, and accurate master data across the organization.

- Develop and manage data quality frameworks, including data profiling, data cleansing, and data validation.

Data Integration & Migration :


- Integrate SAP MDM with other SAP and non-SAP systems to ensure seamless data flow and synchronization.

- Oversee master data migration activities, ensuring smooth data transitions and integrity when moving data into SAP MDM systems.

Data Quality & Reporting :


- Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits to identify gaps, cleanse data, and improve data accuracy.

- Provide reports on data quality metrics, progress on data cleansing initiatives, and improvements made to master data.

Collaboration with Business & IT Teams :


- Work closely with business stakeholders, data stewards, and IT teams to understand master data requirements and translate them into effective MDM solutions.


- Collaborate with SAP functional teams (such as SAP SD, MM, FI) to align master data practices with business processes.

Process Optimization & Best Practices :


- Identify opportunities for process improvement within master data management and propose solutions to optimize data processes.

- Stay up-to-date with SAP MDM enhancements and industry best practices to recommend improvements and ensure compliance with evolving standards.

Training & Documentation :


- Develop documentation, user guides, and training materials to support the implementation and maintenance of SAP MDM processes.

- Provide training and support to business users on SAP MDM tools and best practices.

Skills & Qualifications :


Education :


- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience :


- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in SAP Master Data Management (MDM) or Data Governance.

- Total work experience of 7+ years in SAP, including hands-on experience in MDM implementations and support.

- Experience working with SAP MDM tools such as SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) and SAP S/4HANA is highly preferred.
