RV University is a State Private University which has been established in Karnataka State with RSST as the sponsoring body through Act No.11 of 2019, passed by the Karnataka Legislature. Established by the Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST), which has over eight decades of experience in higher education system.

Position Summary for the post of Project Associate in the office of the Vice Chancellor

The Project Associate will support the University Vice Chancellor in advancing academic initiatives, managing scholarly communications, and coordinating strategic projects. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong technical proficiency, social media fluency, and a solid foundation in finance to help drive innovation and visibility across the university's academic landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Academic & Research Support
  • Assist in organizing and executing scholarly events, research workshops, and symposia
  • Draft and edit academic reports, proposals, and publications

Digital & Social Media Engagement

  • Manage the Vice Chancellor's academic social media presence (LinkedIn, X, YouTube, etc.)
  • Create and schedule content that highlights faculty achievements and university initiatives
  • Monitor engagement metrics and optimize outreach strategies
  • Technical & Administrative Coordination
  • Maintain digital archives of scholarly work and presentations
  • Use tools like Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and project management platforms ( Macros, Vlookup on Excel, Outlook)
  • Support virtual and hybrid event logistics
  • Financial Oversight
  • Track expenditures and prepare financial summaries
  • Liaise with finance office to ensure compliance with university policies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Education, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in academic administration or scholarly communications in premier institutions.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and budgeting tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, QuickBooks)
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social)
  • Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced academic environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in higher education or research institutions of national/international importance.
  • Familiarity with grant writing and academic publishing
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and SEO best practices
  • Comfort with data visualization tools
