SAP FICO/RAR Consultant

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP FICO RAR Consultant to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) solutions.

You will leverage your deep understanding of SAP FICO modules, RAR functionality, and your technical expertise to deliver high-quality solutions and provide expert support.

Responsibilities :

SAP FICO RAR Configuration & Implementation :

- Design and configure SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) modules to meet business requirements.

- Implement and customize RAR functionalities, including performance obligation management, revenue recognition, contract accounting, and reporting.

- Perform system configuration, testing, and documentation specific to RAR.

- Develop and maintain functional specifications and technical documentation related to RAR.

Business Process Analysis & Design (RAR Specific) :

- Analyze revenue recognition business processes and identify opportunities for improvement using SAP RAR solutions.

- Design and implement end-to-end revenue recognition processes in SAP RAR.

- Conduct workshops and gather requirements from business users specifically related to revenue accounting.

- Provide best practice recommendations to clients on revenue recognition.

Integration & Customization (RAR Focus) :

- Integrate SAP RAR with other SAP modules (SD, CRM, Billing) and external systems.

- Develop and implement custom enhancements and reports specific to RAR using ABAP.

- Configure and maintain interfaces using IDocs, APIs, and other integration technologies related to revenue data.

Testing & Support (RAR Specific) :

- Develop and execute test plans and test cases specifically for RAR configurations.

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for RAR.

- Provide post-implementation support and resolve production issues related to revenue recognition.

- Troubleshoot and debug SAP RAR configurations and programs.

Data Migration & Reporting (RAR Focus) :

- Plan and execute data migration activities for revenue contracts and performance obligations using LSMW, BAPIs, or other data migration tools.

- Develop and maintain SAP RAR reports using SAP Query, Report Painter, or other reporting tools.

- Utilize SAP Analytics Cloud or other reporting tools for RAR analytics.

Project Management & Collaboration (RAR Focus) :

- Participate in project planning, execution, and monitoring related to RAR implementations.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders specifically on revenue accounting.

- Provide regular updates on project progress and issues related to RAR.

Required Technical Skills :

SAP FICO Modules :

- Expert-level knowledge of FI-GL, FI-SD integration, and other relevant FICO modules.

SAP RAR :

- Deep understanding of SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) functionality.

- Experience in configuring and implementing all RAR components.

Configuration & Customization (RAR Focus) :

- Strong understanding of SAP RAR configuration and customization.

- Experience with user exits, BAdIs, and other enhancement techniques specific to RAR.

Integration (RAR Focus) :

- Experience with integrating SAP RAR with SAP SD, CRM, and Billing modules.

- Knowledge of IDocs, APIs, and other integration technologies related to revenue data.

ABAP Development (Basic RAR Focus) :

- Basic knowledge of ABAP for debugging and developing custom reports related to RAR.

Data Migration (RAR Focus) :

- Experience with LSMW, BAPIs, or other data migration tools for revenue contracts and performance obligations.

Reporting & Analytics (RAR Focus) :

- Experience with SAP Query, Report Painter, or other reporting tools for RAR.

- Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud or other reporting tools for RAR analytics.

Testing (RAR Focus) :

- Experience in developing and executing test plans and test cases specifically for RAR.

Database Knowledge :

- Understanding of relational databases and SQL.

Required Experience :

- [5+ years] of experience as an SAP FICO RAR Consultant.

- Proven experience in designing and implementing SAP RAR solutions.

- Experience in multiple full lifecycle SAP RAR implementations.

Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field
