Job Overview

Spandana Hospital is seeking a dedicated Duty Doctor to join our team at our Bengaluru location. This is a full-time, mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of work experience in the medical field. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional healthcare services.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in patient assessment techniques to gather comprehensive medical information effectively.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems to document patient information accurately. (Mandatory skill)
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills to evaluate and treat patients efficiently and effectively. (Mandatory skill)
  • Expertise in emergency medicine to respond rapidly and competently to urgent medical situations.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification to provide essential pre-hospital care in life-threatening emergencies.
  • Competence in acute care management to stabilize and treat patients with severe and urgent health issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills to convey information clearly to patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Ability to perform patient triage to prioritize treatment based on the severity of patients' conditions.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient examinations and obtain detailed medical histories.
  • Collaborate with medical teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Manage and monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records systems.
  • Provide emergency medical care and perform life-saving procedures when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families about medical conditions and treatment options.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities to provide continuous patient care.
  • Maintain a high standard of professional conduct and adhere to healthcare regulations and protocols.
