Description :Mandatory :- Must have 3+ YOE in UX / Product Design, with a focus towards B2C Products- Must have recent 2+ YOE in a Good Product Company- Must have worked on both UX and UI / Visual Designs (some UI / Visual Design experience is required)- Strong collaboration experience with Product Managers, Researchers, and other Product stakeholdersMandatory (Portfolio) : Strong portfolio of UX Design and UI/Visual Designs (both are Mandatory) for B2C ProductsMandatory (Company) : Product Company onlyRole & Responsibilities :As a UI/UX Designer at ixigo, you will play a pivotal role in transforming user insights into intuitive, elegant, and engaging digital experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Strategy, Marketing, and Engineering to conceptualize, design, and deliver products that resonate with millions of users. This role demands a creative thinker who blends artistic vision with a deep understanding of user behavior and technical execution.Your primary mission will be to create interfaces that are both functional and visually appealing, aligning with ixigos vision of making travel simpler, smarter, and more enjoyable. By combining design thinking, data-driven decision-making, and storytelling, you will help build features that not only look stunning but also deliver tangible value to users.Core Responsibilities :1. Cross-Functional Collaboration :- You will work closely with teams across Product, Strategy, Marketing, and Engineering to shape the overall design vision and strategy. - Collaboration lies at the heart of this role youll act as a bridge between creative ideas and technical execution. - Your ability to communicate design concepts clearly and work synergistically with different departments will ensure that each product release reflects a consistent and user-centric design philosophy.2. User Research & Requirement Gathering :- A successful design starts with understanding the user. Youll be responsible for gathering and evaluating user requirements through research, interviews, analytics, and usability studies. - Partnering with product managers and engineers, youll translate these insights into actionable design solutions that meet real-world needs. - Your curiosity to explore user pain points and motivations will be essential in crafting empathetic and meaningful design experiences.3. Storyboarding & Information Architecture :- You will illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps to visualize user journeys and product architecture. - This phase is crucial in ensuring the flow of information and interactions feels natural and consistent across the product ecosystem. - A strong grasp of information hierarchy, navigation patterns, and user flow design will be central to your work.4. User-Centered Design & Iteration :- At ixigo, we embrace an iterative, user-centered design approach. - You will create high-quality deliverables in every phase of the UX design lifecycle from conceptual sketches and low-fidelity wireframes to interactive prototypes and final UI mockups. - Testing, feedback, and refinement are integral parts of the process, ensuring that every design iteration gets us closer to a seamless and delightful user experience.5. Ideation & Discovery :- Youll lead discovery sessions and brainstorming workshops, fostering creative discussions and encouraging innovative thinking within the team. - By collaborating with stakeholders, you will identify opportunities for new features and experiences that align with ixigos brand identity and user goals. - Your ability to translate complex business objectives into intuitive design concepts will be highly valued.6. Prototyping & Presentation :- You will develop user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that clearly illustrate how a site or feature will function and appear. Through tools like Figma, Sketch, InVision, and Miro, you will bring ideas to life, making them tangible for teams to explore and test. - Additionally, you will present your design concepts and potential solutions to stakeholders and senior management, effectively incorporating their feedback into refined, actionable design updates.7. Usability Testing & Continuous Improvement :- You will actively participate in UX testing sessions, observing how users interact with your designs, identifying friction points, and gathering feedback to iterate effectively. - Synthesizing results from these tests, youll refine visual elements, layouts, and user flows to improve accessibility and satisfaction. - A strong ability to troubleshoot UX problems including issues like responsiveness, navigation clarity, and accessibility will define your success in this area.8. Design Consistency & Documentation :- Part of your role will involve creating and maintaining a comprehensive style guide to ensure design consistency across all platforms and products. This includes defining visual elements such as typography, color palettes, iconography, and interaction patterns. - The style guide will serve as a reference for the entire product and engineering team, promoting scalability and a unified brand identity.Ideal Candidate :- The ideal candidate will have 3- 5 years of proven UI/UX design experience within a product-driven environment. - You should bring a deep understanding of visual design principles such as typography, color theory, iconography, composition, and layout. - Your portfolio should clearly demonstrate a strong grasp of user experience principles, design problem-solving, and usability best practices.- Hands-on experience with leading collaboration and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, and Miro is mandatory. - You should also have a track record of designing for Android and iOS devices including phones and tablets with a focus on responsive design and cross-platform adaptability.- A Bachelors degree or diploma in Graphic Design from a Tier 1 institution is required, ensuring a strong academic foundation in design theory and creative execution. - Your work should reflect not just visual excellence but also a keen understanding of how design impacts product usability and business outcomes.Soft Skills :In addition to technical expertise, you must bring a strong set of soft skills that foster collaboration and leadership within a dynamic environment :- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate design decisions clearly.- Ability to present ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills that encourage open collaboration.- Willingness to accept feedback gracefully and integrate it into your design process.- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines with composure.- A proactive, positive attitude that aligns with ixigos culture of innovation and teamwork.Perks, Benefits & Work Culture :At ixigo, we believe great design stems from great culture.
