Role Description :

As a Senior Data Warehouse DBA - Lead, you will be a technical leader and mentor, guiding your team to deliver robust and scalable data warehouse solutions. You will be responsible for setting technical direction, ensuring data quality, and fostering a collaborative and productive team environment. Your expertise in MS SQL Server, ETL processes, and data modeling will be crucial for delivering successful projects.

Responsibilities :

- Design, create, and manage data warehouses using MS SQL Server.

- Develop and optimize stored procedures and queries for efficient data retrieval.

- Ensure data integrity and consistency across the data warehouse.

- Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using SSIS.

- Optimize ETL workflows for performance and efficiency.

- Automate data transformation and loading processes.

- Perform database performance tuning, indexing, and optimization.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues.

- Monitor database performance and implement improvements.

- Design and implement data models and schemas for efficient data organization and retrieval.

- Ensure data models align with business requirements and best practices.

- Support business intelligence (BI) tools such as Power BI and Tableau by optimizing databases.

- Ensure data availability and performance for BI reporting.

- Lead and mentor a team of Data Warehouse DBAs.

- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.

- Foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.

- Create and maintain technical documentation for data warehouse design, ETL processes, and database configurations.

- Promote and enforce coding standards and best practices.

- Integrate data warehouse solutions with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and Web Services/APIs.

- Manage data migration and integration with cloud-based systems.

Required Technical Skills :

- Extensive hands-on experience in data warehouse design, creation, and management using MS SQL Server.

- Proficiency in stored procedures and query optimization.

- Demonstrated expertise in ETL processes, specifically using SSIS, with a focus on data transformation and automation.

- Ability to independently handle and optimize the ETL workflow.

- In-depth knowledge of database performance tuning, indexing, and support.

- Proven ability to independently optimize databases for high performance and troubleshoot complex database issues.

- Strong background in data modeling and schema design for efficient data organization and retrieval.

- Knowledge of business intelligence (BI) tools such as Power BI and Tableau and how to support these tools with optimized databases.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and Web Services/API integration.

- Microsoft Certified : Azure Database Administrator Associate

- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)

- Microsoft Certified : SQL Server Database Administration.

- AWS Certified Database - Specialty

Qualifications :

Experience :

- 7-10 years of experience in data warehouse design, development, and management.

- Proven experience in leading and mentoring database teams.

Technical Skills :

- Expertise in MS SQL Server, SSIS, and data modeling.

- Strong understanding of ETL processes and database performance tuning.

- Knowledge of BI tools and cloud platforms.

Soft Skills :

- Excellent leadership and communication skills.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. -

- Strong documentation and presentation skills.

Education :

- Bachelor's /master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Master's degree preferred.
