Quality is central to our customer experience, and we are looking for a Quality Control Manager who can uphold and elevate our product standards across manufacturing, finishing, and packaging.Role OverviewThe Quality Control Manager will oversee the quality assurance process for all jewellery produced at Palmonas. This role ensures that every piece meets the brand’s standards for craftsmanship, durability, plating, finishing, and compliance. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of jewellery production and experience in managing high-volume QC operations.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance & InspectionDevelop, monitor, and refine QC standards for jewellery components and finished products.Inspect jewellery at multiple stages—casting, polishing, stone setting, plating, and final assembly.Check for defects including scratches, plating inconsistencies, stone setting issues, alignment errors, sizing inaccuracies, and finishing flaws.Ensure product color, shine, and texture match approved samples.Process & System ManagementCreate SOPs for incoming material inspection, in-process QC, and final quality checks.Identify recurring issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Maintain QC checklists, sampling plans, and quality benchmarks.Coordinate with production teams to improve quality output and reduce defect rates.Vendor & Manufacturing CoordinationConduct vendor audits and ensure compliance with Palmonas quality guidelines.Work closely with manufacturing partners to address quality concerns and standardize processes.Approve or reject materials and finished goods based on quality standards.Documentation & ReportingMaintain detailed QC reports, defect analysis, and batch-wise quality records.Provide weekly and monthly updates on defects, trends, and improvement actions.Track KPIs such as rejection rate, rework time, defect types, and vendor performance.Team ManagementLead, train, and supervise QC inspectors and support staff.Conduct skill development sessions on jewellery quality standards and inspection techniques.Compliance & SafetyEnsure products comply with plating quality standards, metal purity expectations, and skin-safe material usage.Maintain adherence to brand guidelines and relevant industry standards.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Jewellery Design, Production, Engineering, or related field.4–7 years of experience in jewellery QC, preferably in demi-fine, fashion, or fine jewellery.Strong understanding of finishing techniques, plating processes, stone setting, durability testing, and jewellery construction.Knowledge of quality control tools and methodologies.Excellent attention to detail and ability to detect minor flaws.Strong communication and coordination skills.Ability to handle multiple vendor units and high-volume production cycles
