Summary:


  • The Compliance Support Specialist – CBR Disputes reports to a Compliance Manager, or Supervisor and is responsible for delivering solutions for audit requests, escalated customer inquiries, and disputes.
  • The Compliance Support Specialist- CBR will need to work across teams to build process improvement and innovation gained from review of customer complaints or disputes.


Responsibilities:


The Compliance Support Specialist - CBR is expected to oversee audit requests, consumer escalations, credit disputes and complaints to ensure timely resolution. Specifically, this person will:


  • Investigate account level activity and exercise good judgement in making decisions related to case investigations.
  • Review and respond to Credit Reporting disputes received via incoming correspondence or through E-Oscar
  • Assist in the support of external audit requests
  • Make Credit Reporting corrections and updates as appropriate.
  • Respond clearly, and accurately to consumer disputes and complaints.
  • Report material findings to team leaders for systemic resolutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements:


  • Degree in business management, computer science, or related field is preferred. High School diploma with some post-secondary education required.
  • 3 years of experience in loan servicing, economics, compliance, or related field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various audiences including customers, and team members through written and verbal means.
  • Experience working with Credit Reporting Bureaus or E-Oscar is strongly preferred.
  • Solid organizational skills, ability to work across teams, ability to focus on broader goals and customer level details simultaneously, and ability to multi-task effectively.
  • A demonstrated ability to perform job duties with strong attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office.
