About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Procurement Executive to handle sourcing and purchasing of raw materials and packaging items required for our food product manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate must ensure quality sourcing at competitive pricing, timely availability of materials, and strong vendor coordination — contributing directly to efficient supply chain operations.FarmDidi is a food-tech brand empowering rural women to produce and sell authentic, farmgate pickles and chutneys. By joining us, you contribute to a mission-driven ecosystem that supports rural entrepreneurship and traceability in the food supply chain.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute procurement strategies to meet material and packaging requirements.Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers based on quality and commercial terms.Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts for cost-effective procurement.Coordinate with SHGs to understand their raw material needs and assist in logistics challenges.Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase orders to avoid shortages.Maintain accurate procurement records — pricing, vendor details, quality documentation, etc.Stay updated on food safety standards and ensure vendor compliance.Track supplier performance and work on continuous cost and process optimization.Collaborate with warehouse/logistics teams to ensure timely inward and proper storage.Resolve supply discrepancies and quality concerns proactively.RequirementsMinimum Qualification: Any Graduation (Food Technology background preferred)Minimum 2 years of procurement/purchasing experience (FMCG/Food industry preferred)Strong negotiation and vendor management skillsGood understanding of food safety and regulatory standardsProficiency in MS Excel & procurement/ERP toolsStrong communication, analytics, and documentation skillsAbility to manage deadlines and operate in a fast-paced environmentHaving own bike for market/vendor visits will be an added advantage
