Job Description: Windows Desktop Support/Administrator


Position Overview: The Windows Desktop Support/Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting desktop and laptop systems, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction. The ideal candidate should have over 8 years of experience in desktop support and demonstrate strong technical skills, particularly in Windows Imaging, operating system deployment, and scripting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Desktop & Laptop Support: Provide support and maintenance for desktop, laptop, and software components, ensuring systems run smoothly.
  • Operating System Deployment: Experience with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) and knowledge of SCCM for operating system deployment.
  • Windows Imaging: Expert in Windows Imaging processes, creating, managing, and deploying images across multiple devices.
  • Windows AutoPilot: Knowledge of Windows AutoPilot for deploying and managing devices.
  • Scripting Skills: Proficient in PowerShell, VB scripting, and Batch scripting to automate tasks and streamline processes.
  • Incident Management: Efficiently manage and resolve incident tickets, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Vulnerability Management: Possess knowledge of Windows client vulnerability management and actively resolve client vulnerabilities.
  • IT Hardware Management: Handle all IT hardware-related issues, including Windows updates, staging, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • System Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot Windows 7, 8, and 10 operating systems, including driver installation, system upgrades, and configurations.
  • System Maintenance: Regularly update drivers, perform system performance monitoring, and troubleshoot user-related issues.
  • Multi-tasking & Management Skills: Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously with good management skills.
  • Shift Flexibility: Candidate must be flexible to work in rotational shifts.


Experience Required:

  • Desktop Support: Minimum of 8 years of experience in desktop support.
  • Windows Imaging: In-depth experience with Windows Imaging processes is a must.
