Junior Data Engineer

Location : Pune, India

Experience : 3 - 4 years

About the Role :

We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Data Engineer to join our growing team in Pune.

In this role, you'll work closely with senior engineers to build, optimize, and maintain our data infrastructure using cutting-edge Azure and Microsoft Fabric tools.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in data engineering to further develop their skills, contribute to impactful data solutions, and gain hands-on experience with advanced analytics and machine learning.

What You'll Do :

- Assist in designing and building data integration workflows leveraging Azure and Microsoft Fabric tools.

- Develop and optimize data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage.

- Collaborate with the Senior Data Engineer to implement machine learning models and analytics solutions.

- Support the creation of interactive data visualizations and reports for stakeholders using tools like Power BI.

- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.

- Work closely with the team to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.

- Contribute to the implementation of data governance and security practices.

- Participate actively in an Agile development environment.

What We're Looking For :

Required Skills & Experience :

- 3-4 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role.

- Hands-on experience with key Azure ecosystem tools, including :

1. Azure Data Factory

2. Azure Synapse Analytics

3. Azure Databricks

4. Microsoft Power BI

- Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, data integration concepts, and foundational advanced analytics.

- Familiarity with implementing data governance protocols and security practices.

- Good problem-solving skills and an ability to contribute to scalable data solutions.

- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely within a team and with cross-functional stakeholders.

- Experience working in Agile development environments.

Good to Have :

- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and scripting.

- Strong command of SQL for data querying and manipulation.

- Understanding of various data modeling techniques.
