About Astuto :

We aim to build an AI-first Cloud Efficiency Platform that helps businesses maximize the ROI on public cloud investments.

Given the increase in complexity and cost of cloud infrastructure and services, this space has an enormous opportunity. Over $600 billion is being spent on the public cloud, and an estimated $180 billion is being wasted. In addition, lack of expertise as complexity and scale increase is a big challenge for organizations.

Astuto is establishing an engineering team in Bengaluru and is on the lookout for exceptional founding engineers to drive our vision.

Job Description :

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Python Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in python, FastAPI, and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL). Additionally, experience with caching & queuing/streaming mechanisms, agile development practices, and unit testing is essential.

Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain backend services with python (FastAPI)

- Design, implement, and maintain RESTful web services and APIs to support various front-end applications

- Write background tasks on python for cron and data engineering use cases

- Build using cases with SQL/NoSQL databases, Redis and Kafka. Open to research and adopt new tech stack/s when needed

- Write unit tests and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and reliability

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality software.

- Follow agile development methodologies, participate in sprint planning, and contribute to the development process.

- Troubleshoot and debug issues in both development and production environments

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

- Proven experience and deep understanding of python programming language, its idioms, and effective python coding practices.

- Proven experience with FastAPI framework and background tasks

- Strong unit testing skills and the ability to write clean and maintainable code

- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, and the ability to optimize data storage and retrieval

- Strong hold on caching mechanisms, such as Redis, and their integration into applications.

- Knowledge of queuing and streaming mechanisms for asynchronous and real-time data processing.

- Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms, essential for writing efficient and optimized code.

- Basic understand of system design, should be able to design simple applications with keeping reliability, availability and scalability in mind

- Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines. Good to have knowledge of Kubernetes

- Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional team
