About Us
Our Story Started in Kolkata, West Bengal. The Year 1993.
India was on the precipice of significant social change with increasing influences from the West.
India's youth were beginning to stir, seeking exciting modern lifestyle experiences. The directors of the Turtle Clothing Company understood that the Indian Fashion landscape was to change forever. Embracing these dynamic changes the brand delivered to the high streets of India, a modern product and brand that appealed to this new youth movement.
Today, 30 years later brand Turtle continue to deliver the best of global styling and inspirations, whilst staying true to their heritage.
Key Deliverables
- Give accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics (labor law, partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance etc.)
- Collaborate with management to devise efficient defense strategies
- Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance
- Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.), creating relations of trust
- Approve Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights.
- Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation
- Knowledge of Trademark protection, registration, Legal cases in NI Act & other money suits.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a Legal Counsel in business environment/manufacturing industry.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures
- Excellent skills in legal drafting & commercial contracts management (franchisee)
- Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies
- Sound judgement and ability to analyze situations and information
- Outstanding communication skills
- BA & LLB degree is mandatory
- PG Diploma (Business Administration) or MBA will be considered an added advantage
