This is a hands-on role with significant ownership, technical depth, and product impact.ResponsibilitiesArchitect, design, and implement scalable backend systems and APIs handling millions of data pointsImprove reliability, observability, and performance across distributed systemsCollaborate with product and data teams to deliver new features end-to-endContribute to infrastructure improvements, CI/CD, and cloud deploymentsAdopt AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development and maintain qualityRequirements4+ years of professional experience building production-grade software in startups or tech product environmentsStrong proficiency in Python (experience with FastAPI preferred)Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and database performance optimizationExperience with GCP or other major cloud platformsPragmatic approach to engineering, balancing speed and scalabilityStrong communication skills and comfort working in small, distributed teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience with ETL/data pipelines (Airflow, Dagster, or Airbyte)Familiarity with ClickHouse or other analytical databasesKnowledge of event-driven architecturesBackground in e-commerce, inventory, or supply chain domainsExperience scaling systems from startup to growth stageExposure to AI/ML engineeringTech StackPython, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, QuestDB, ClickHouse, GCP, Docker, Next.jsWhat’s OfferedCompetitive compensation package (₹20-50 LPA basis experience)Opportunity to build and scale core systems from the ground upDirect collaboration with founding engineers and product leadershipFlexible, remote-first culture with hybrid options in Paris and London
