‭ Title:‬‭ Senior Software Development Engineer‬ (Full Stack)‭ About the Role: At Razorpay, aSenior Full Stack Engineeris not just a coder — you're aproduct thinker, systems architect, and business-aware problem solver. You’ll be deeply involved in building and scaling systems that power seamless online payments across India and beyond. This role requires someone equally comfortable crafting intuitive user experiences and architecting resilient backend systems. You will work closely with product managers, designers, backend/frontend developers, and stakeholders to build high-impact features across the stack. You’ll shape not only code but alsoteam culture, product direction, and technical standards.Roles and Responsibilities: Drive and participate inproduct and design discussions, influencing both backend architecture and frontend user experience. Design, build, and maintainscalable, reliable, and performant APIs and web applications. Develop and optimizeresponsive, accessible, and pixel-perfect UIsusing modern JavaScript frameworks. Own features end-to-end — from conception to deployment — and ensure they work well across platforms and devices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements intotechnical solutions. Ensure seamlessintegration of frontend with backend systems, REST APIs, and third-party services. Write clean, modular, and maintainable code followingbest engineering practices. Conduct thoroughtesting, debugging, and code reviewsto ensure high code quality. Keep up withindustry trends, and proactively suggest improvements to our stack, process, or product. Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering growth within the team. Participate in or leadopen-source projectsand contribute to the broader engineering community.Mandatory Qualifications: 3+ years of experience building full stack applications in a product-driven environment. Strong command overfrontend technologieslike HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks likeReact, Angular, or Vue. Proficiency inbackend programmingwith one or more languages such asPython, Django, Go, Java, PHP, or C++. Deep understanding ofREST APIs, and how the web works under the hood. Demonstrated experiencebuilding features from scratchand taking ownership of modules or systems. Product-first mindset with a strongsense of design and usability. Comfort working inagile teams, collaborating across product, design, and engineering. Willingness tolearn and adoptnew tools, languages, or technologies as needed.Good to Have: A portfolio ofside-projects or GitHub contributions. Experience contributing to or maintainingopen-source projects. Prior experience working infast-paced product startups. Familiarity with tools likeSASS/Stylus, Jade, Grunt/Gulp, etc. Basic understanding ofDevOpsand CI/CD pipelines. Working knowledge ofweb accessibility (WCAG)and performance optimization. Exposure tocloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP)is a plus.
