AS400 Production Support Engineer

What You Will Do :- Provide end-to-end production support for AS400 applications.- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents ensuring minimal downtime.- Investigate root causes, apply permanent fixes, and document resolutions.- Coordinate with business users, developers, and vendors for quick issue resolution.- Participate in on-call/rotational support shifts covering evenings, nights, and weekends.- Support change deployments, patches, and upgrades while maintaining stability.- Identify and suggest process improvements for production stability.Preferred Skills & Qualifications :- 6- 10 years of experience in AS400 production support or application support.- Strong skills in RPGLE, ILE concepts, and SQL for debugging and issue analysis.- Knowledge of incident/change/problem management processes (ITIL preferred).- Ability to analyze issues under pressure and provide quick resolutions.- Strong communication and coordination skills with cross-functional/global teams.Good to Have :- Experience with IBM RDI, Help Systems SEQUEL, and change management tools.- Exposure to automation in monitoring or incident management.
