Role Summary:Role/Title: Director - Product EngineeringDesignation: Director / Head of EngineeringExperience: 15 - 17 yearsLocation: ChennaiCompany: Karomi TechnologyRole Overview:We are looking for a seasoned product engineering leader to drive the end-to-end design, delivery, and scaling of our enterprise SaaS platforms. This is a strategic leadership position where youll partner with business heads, product managers, and clients to shape the product roadmap and ensure seamless execution - balancing technical depth with business outcomes.Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team focused on delivering business-critical SaaS solutions.- Own the product development lifecycle from architecture and design to release management and continuous improvement.- Partner with product and business teams to translate customer requirements into scalable, revenue-impacting solutions.- Architect and implement cloud-native, secure, and multi-tenant platforms capable of supporting a rapidly growing global user base.- Establish engineering best practices, DevOps pipelines, and governance frameworks that enable faster time-to-market.- Drive innovation in platform scalability, performance optimization, and customer experience.- Represent engineering in leadership forums and communicate complex technology decisions to non-technical & Qualifications:- 15+ years of experience in building, scaling, and managing enterprise SaaS or B2B technology platforms.- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering mission-critical software products.- Strong understanding of end-to-end product engineering including front-end, back-end, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and security.- Hands-on exposure to technologies such as .NET, JavaScript, SQL, and Azure (or equivalent cloud platforms).- Experience in multi-tenant architecture, product scalability, and application performance at scale.- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic communication skills.Why Join Us?- Opportunity to own the product charter and shape technology decisions for a rapidly scaling SaaS business.- Work closely with founders and business leadership on high-impact initiatives.- Play a key role in transforming our product into a global-grade platform with strong commercial outcomes.
